I’m Xian Wong (pronounced She-on), and go by Shawnee. I’m a Los Angeles–based brand strategy and design leader with deep California roots, and I’ve spent the past 9+ years building my career in Southern California—shaping brand-driven experiences across a wide range of markets and industries.

I believe design is most powerful when it goes beyond aesthetics. At its best, it tells a clear story, simplifies complexity, and connects people through purpose and function. Throughout my career, I’ve helped brands clarify their voice, develop or evolve their identity, and expand brand equity through thoughtful strategy and high-quality execution.

As an Associate at RSM Design, I work at the intersection of strategy, design, and execution. My role spans brand visioning, brand strategy, project and design management, and hands-on execution. I lead small teams, develop and refine design processes and working systems, mentor designers, and serve as the primary point of contact for client communication—all while balancing strategy, craft, and delivery across multiple concurrent projects. I bring experience across creative, editorial, commercial, and luxury sectors, along with clarity, intention, and a distinct point of view to complex projects.

Grounded in the belief that design is both strategic and human-centered, I’m passionate about creating brands that balance aesthetics with purpose—brands that tell meaningful stories and leave a lasting impact.
